Welcome to my newest endeavor. I am an artist, who would love to begin sharing my love of painting.
I have spent the last 40+++ years sculpting, quilting, designing floral arrangements, sewing, baking wedding cakes and numerous other creative avenues. My name is Jill Cullimore and I love to paint. Here for you consideration are vintage metal toleware, and silver trays, that I have lovingly restored. If the original labels are in tact, I preserve them with care . Some may have small imperfections, of which I will make mention, but still can be beautiful, functional works of art for generations to come. Each piece is an original work of art and Hand Painted . Hope you will share in my passion! I have autographed and dated each tray on the back, and each is protected with a satin varnish. Thinking Easter!! My oldest daughter raises Netherland Dwarf Rabbits, and shares photos as reference for my paintings. I chose an 11" Dia. Vintage Tray for this painting. A color palette of Assorted Pastels, stands out on the Green Tea paint color background. Simply had to do another lace pattern, to border this vignette. This precious Little Cutie has decorated her eggs, brought out the daisies and lilacs, all ready for Easter. A very vintage tray was used for this painting. It has 3 small dents in the bottom edge (only visible from the back) and a slight bend on the rim, again only visible from the back. I will be doing a few more Easter trays. LOVE THE COLORS of SPRING!!!! We had grandkids here for a couple of days. The POOL came before PAINTING, but we had a great time, now Grandma needs to get busy! I received a message that requested "Before and After" photos of the refurbished trays. Your wish is my command!! From now on , if refurbishing a vintage tray, a photo will be listed of the original tray. Thanks for your suggestion! Each one that I finish is my favorite, but the next 2 or 3 are being created in my mind's eye. This tray is in great shape, no dings, dents or bent edges, just needed a new face.
