Vtg Model 8B American Flyer Transformer W/Instructions Search
Vintage Model 8B American Flyer Power Transformer with Instructions. I would say it's in really good working and physical condition for as old as it is. Transformer has a 6 ft. cord in good shape. There are no signs of dry rot or cracking and is still very pliable.
· Manufactured from 1946-52· Transformer supplies 100 Watts of Power and 7VAC-15VAC Train Speed Control · A Separate Circuit supplying 15 Volts of Constant Power for Accessories · Green Power On Light · Red Short/Overload Circuit Indicator Light and Reset Button for the Circuit Breaker · Reverse Switch Button The meter I used in the pics for testing transformer only had a 10VAC or a 250VAC Settings. Had to use the 250VAC setting to check the Transformer. That’s why the needle didn’t move much. As you can see in the pictures, it shows that the meter is reading 15VAC like it should for the posts that the meter is connected to. Meter was for testing purposes and is not included.
