VINTAGE NAUTICAL COMPASS WORLD MAP SHIP GLASS SHIP WHEEL CEILING LIGHT Up for sale is this stunning ceiling light. I picked this light up at an estate sale in Palm Beach. The women told me shebought her home in 1960. The light fixture came with the home. Not her taste so down it came. Please see photo's. The Nautical Design of this light is stunning. I will describe the light fixture as I see it. The light is a hardwire ceiling mount light fixture, with its original wiring. The ceiling mounted base is a thin metal with a gold finish. The gold finish does have wear. There is a 3 light socket. The glass shade appears to have been reverse frosted on the inside of the shade. The glass light shade is in excellent condition.The design is that of a world map, a large compass, the continents and oceans and the latitude and longitude lines. The colors of the light are light frosted gray, tan, red. At the bottom of the shade is a very rare glass ships wheel. The only marking on the Nautical World Map glass shade is in the center, around the small circle it reads; 1908 I-391.
