The next few listings will include items from my collection of Nippon ware which I started about 20 years ago, and have collected from all over the US. These are fine china - and in the case of most of my items bone china - made in Japan between the late 1880s and the late 1930s. None of the pieces I'm listing date later than that, to the best of my knowledge.
This listing is for a lovely, hand painted peach, pale blue, pale pink, green, black, white and 24k gold moriage - meaning it's raised from the surface - plate measuring approximately 7 1/2" across. The design is of peaches, peach blossoms and peonies, with an abstract motif around the edges - absolutely spectacular. It's signed in the back "Nippon Hand Painted," with a seal. It was clearly used in the past as t is some wear, but considering its age it's in fantastic condition. As most of our items are in gently used condition we recommend cleaning but leave that up to the discretion of the buyer. We have a new mail service! PAYMENT : Payment is due within 3 days of auction end ; if you cannot pay within three days please let us know immediately - we're reasonable people, do understand, and would rather work something out. Only serious bidders, please; if you do not communicate with us and do not pay within three days of auction end we reserve the right to relist the item as unsold . We only accept PayPal and cannot make exceptions at this time. SHIPPING : We have a new mail service! This means we are able to ship Priority Mail (as well as First Class, Parcel Post, FedEx and UPS) and the previous problems we had with delays should not be an issue . Really fragile items like glass pieces may be subject to a handling fee (no more than $1.00) due to the cost of protective packing materials, otherwise only actual shipping costs are charged . Insurance is required on all items to protect the buyer and seller; if you do not accept our insurance policy we will not be liable for lost or broken items. We will combine shipping so please take a moment to view our other items and make sure you request a total when checking out . INTERNATIONAL BUYERS : We apologize but we are unable to process international shipping other than to Canada; if you absolutely must have it feel free to send us an email and we'll consider making an exception, but will likely add a small handling fee of $1.50 (US) per item. Please note that if we do ship to you - even to Canada - you must take responsibility for any extra tarrifs, etc.; if you are unwilling to accept these extra costs (they're not always charged but sometimes are) and you return the item we will file an Unpaid Item claim against you - we are not responsible for these extra fees and charges.
