You are bidding on a pair of extra large, extra heavy duty industrial lights. They were purchased from a fellow who had served during WWII & Korea, in the Navy. In between the two conflicts the ship he was on was retrofitted with these lights. Am guessing these were “extras” that were never used, and wound up in his garage. They are larger than the average cage lights you see. These measure 8“ tall. The mounting ring is 6.5 diameter. The holophane style ribbed glass is approx 7“ tall, by 5.25“ diameter and is 1/2“ THICK!! This is made of Soda glass and has that greenish tinge when viewing the thickness. This are in excellent condition for being 60 - 70 years old. Have some stains on the mounting ring which does not show when assembled. This has a metal ring that acts as a vapor barrier, so if you live in a hurricane area, and need a sturdy water, wind resistant light this will probably work well in a screened porch. If you have a LOFT, this is great as it is a little bigger, and will show well in a modern industrial setting. These were made by RAB, which is still in business, and has done major lighting contracts, including for NASA, which is very cool. (check their website for installations, serious lighting.) Both shade and fitting is marked RAB. These are made of rust - proof aluminum, and will last through ...infinity and beyond. You will mount these over a (sold at any hardware store) ceiling mounted porcelain fixture. If you are the high bidder, you can do a buy it now, as there are 6 more, with one having no ring, and minor surface abrasions on the shade. Please view the photos, ask questions prior to bidding. These weigh about 4 lbs each, with the shade weighing over 3 lbs by itself. Will ship worldwide, and try to ship in smaller packages, to send at lower shipping.
