Upfor sale is this very nice set of 4 antique art deco wood foldingchairs. These chairs came out of the Scottish Rite Center in Ft. Wayne,Indiana. The Scottish Rite Center and accompanying Mizpah ShrineTemple was built in 1924! The chairs are all in very nicecondition. The finish is all original. There are a few scrapes andrubs here and there as would be expected on chairs of this age. Thechairs have a great deco look with the rounded arch tops and supports on thebase. There are wrought iron brackets in the back and front bottom whichgive the chairs a very solid structure. The measurements are 32"high by 18" wide and 18" deep. The seats sit 173/4" off the floor. The seats have a black naugahyde covering. The back of each chair features a gold decal of thedouble headed gold eagle which is the symbol of the Scottish Rite ofFreemasonry. These are SOLID KUMFORT chairs that were manufacturedby the Louis Rastetter & Sons Company of Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Myresearch indicates that these chairs date to the original construction date ofthe building.I have beentold that the Latin phrase right below the emblem "SPEAS MEA INDEO EST" means "MY HOPE IS IN GOD". I have purchasedmany of these and can supply larger quantities if you desire! Just let meknow how many you are interested in. But hurry up ~ they're going FAST!!!The winningbidder will pay read more
