This circa 1920's - 1940's vintage bankers chair is a warm golden oak and would go well with any decor. I do not know the exact year this chair was made, but this style of chair was very popular, and was made be several furniture companys. This one was made by Colonial Chair Co. of Chicago which is no longer in business. Their name is embossed onto the handle. This chair was built and designed to combine style with function, and stands the test of time. It is a very sturdy chair weighing around 40 lbs. This Arm Chair features solid oak construction, four point base, and manual adjustable height. It has the old iron adjustable knob under the seat to raise/lower it. It also swivels. These chairs have been called several things through the years, including Bankers Chair, Tilt & Swivel, Captains chair and mission chairs. The only flaw I can find is a tiny split between two of the slats (see picture) DIMENSIONS : 35 1/2" floor to back top 19" between the handles 20 1/2" across the front of the seat 15" across the back of the seat 17" across the back SHIPPING : This chair can be picked up locally, or I could meet you halfway, depending on the distance.
