This is a beautiful vintage Taxco sterling silver and amethyst necklace and earrings set, probably from the 1950's. About 19 inches long, it has large birdcage set stones, each joined by a small oval link. The matching screw back earrings have a slightly smaller stone, also bird cage set on an 1 1/4 dangle. I don't have the proper tool for exact measurement of the stones but the ones in the necklace are about 3/4" and the earrings about 3/8". The clasp has a slight curve for comfort and is double signed, once on the back again on the inside portion. The earrings are each stamped on the clasp. This lovely set would be a great addition to your collection or make a wonderful gift for that special someone that enjoys the quiet beauty of vintage hand crafted silver.
