I am downsizing some of my vanity collectibles and have decided to sell my RARE VINTAGE c1950's SMALL TISSUE MIRRORED COMPACT BOX HOLDER . This is a beautiful silver plate or chrome (not sure how to describe this!) purse size tissue holder, makeup or cigarette box . It is a substantial weight, high quality and well constructed. It measures 4 3/8" long X 3 1/8" wide X 7/8" deep. This comes apart in two pieces. The cover is hinged at the back side and lifts up to reveal the original mirror and a lovely polished silver interior . This looks like silver plate to me, but again I am not certain. The mirror is in excellent vintage condition with no cracks or silver loss, it is shiny and bright. This is a stunning little tissue box, just exquisite , and perfect to carry in a purse or your vehicle. The inside cover simply lifts out in order to refill the tissue box. This is an interesting old piece. If you choose to remove the slotted tissue cover, this could be used as a cigarette box or to carry makeup! This was difficult to photograph because of the light reflecting off the silver. The top cover has a pebbled textured hammered look and feel. It is less shiny than the rest of the box with a pewter aluminum look. The box is in wonderful vintage condition with no dents or deep scratches. There is discoloration to the silver finish as you
