The earrings are marked "14k" on the back of the screwbacks (that work securely) - I'm not sure if the screwbacks are the original backings to the earrings. The earrings measures 1 3/4" long with the top coral bead at just under 1/2" at its widest point. This set of earrings are unique for the size and quality of the coral in the earrings. The top bead has a large diameter but it is also chunky in shape at about 5mm thick. The coral is well matched on the earrings, its not quite as dark and hot orange as in the photos, it is a bit softer more creamy pink but it is still very rich looking. The pendants are separated with a delicate strand of seed pearls so the earrings have a lot of sway and movement when worn. There are no irregularities to the coral, they are perfectly smooth and creamy, with a high sheen and luster. The pearls are tiny and give the earrings a nice contrast in color and shape and they also have a nice sheen and luster.
