Fabulous Antique Flow Blue Argyle Teapot It's hard to get any better than this...an original late nineteenth century flow blue (with gold trim) teapot manufactured by W. H. Grindley. This would be a showpiece in any flow blue collection, but it is a must-have centerpiece for Argyle collectors. I am selling this teapot because I have two Argyle teapots, and the reserve on this one is little more than half what I paid for my first one. Approximate measurements are 7 1/2" tall with lid, 6 1/2" tall without lid, 8 1/4" from handle to spout, 5 1/4" deep. Condition is lovely. I find no chips, cracks, or repairs and if t is crazing, it must be microscopic. The glaze is lustrous and without scratches as seen with the naked eye, the blue is deep cobalt & flowed, & the gold trim is better than in most Argyle pieces I've seen. In the photos, you will see a couple of dots of color on the white part of the teapot that were done in the manufacturing process and are under the glaze. Typical roughness on the bottom of the little feet are normal & expected. Bid with confidence; I don't think you will be disappointed with this gem. Please see photos as part of this description & ask all questions before bidding. Buyer pays shipping calculated by zip code. Insurance is required. This item is being sold as found.
