Massive lot of Women's Army Corps lot all from one soldier. I felt keeping the collection together would honor her service. I have scanned all items and photos and a zip drive of the scan will be included in this auction. About 120 are of uniformed personnel ....the others are out of uniform on picnics or in bathing suits. 130 are of WAC members many identified. There are two 8x10 of 147 the WACs on the base one with hats one without... On the back of one are 40+ signatures and notes written by fellow WACs. Another 8x10 proof portrait of two WACs in uniform. Some of the photos are very unusual showing the kinds of photos a young lady would send her boyfriend during the war (scantily clothed in half a uniform)...all in all a treasure trove of WAC historyYellow 2 inch badge for admittance to Eglin Field Florida "technical area" where the top secret testing took place.A wallet size honorable discharge card A 907 397 as a sergeant in the 999 th Army Air Forces base unit. A wallet size Separation Qualification record card "worked at Eglin Field Fla. Proving ground as an aircraft dispatcher, recorded bombing missions and service test records."22 page booklet "Flight Test Section AAFPGC Eglin Field Florida. This booklet is amazing. It was done in 1944 to welcome new recruits and explain what the top secret TEST SECTION has done. This base developed B-29 gunnery equipment, p-51 fighter, airborne rockets, 75mm nose cannon for B-25, external fuel auxiliary fuel tanks, minimum altitude bombing (Skip bombing) the booklet goes into detail on skip bombing talking about applications I had never heard of: skip bombing Japanese ships in Bismarck Sea Battle, skip bombing tanks, skip bombing underground plane hangars...contains 7 pages of all the soldiers on the base.
