Part of the Rule Beartannia set, wade made these in 1999. King Velveteen headed up the set.(Queen mum and the Plaque also for sale). These are based on the characters from "The Tiny Kingdom Of Teddy Bears", created by Jerome and Julie Walker of Illinois, USA. Inspired by Jerome's interest in European Royalty Memorabilia.The series was, at first, only availiable in the USA and only later retailed in the UK.Each figure is back stamped in gold painted lettering. Made in England. CJerome Walker 1998 Wade.King Velveteen stands 6+1/2" high by 4+3/4" across. His colours are vibrant and he is in great condition. No cracks,chips etc.What I would say, and I am surprised by this as he has been behind glass since bought, is that the gold paint on his Crown and each end of his?"Stick thingy" are abit worn (see photo). This puzzles me but the rest of him is in fine shape.The photo showing the base looks like there might be a chip on bottom.
