This is one big, bold, beautiful roasting pan! It is the largest of the MAGNALITE roasters made by WAGNER WARE. Magnalite cookware has been around for over 70 years, and is famous for its durability, distinctive design, and the magnesium-aluminum casting fabrication. This cookware has very thick bases which speed up cooking and also distributes the heat evenly up the sides. The vapor-tight lid locks in moisture to keep the food flavorful - and, because it is vapor-tight, cooking time is reduced. This pan is in excellent, clean condition! T are neither dents, pitting, nor baked on food residue. T's no warping and the lid fits tight. T is one little ¼" snag on the edge of the lid which could be filed or sanded smooth. The trivet is level, and has five rounded feet to lift food above the bottom. DIMENSIONS ARE: · Total Height to top of handle - 10" · Height of lid - 3 ¼" · Height of pan - 5 ¾" · Width of inside pan - 12" · Length of inside pan -17" · Length from end to end of side handles - 20 ¼" If you do some BIG cooking, this is the perfect roaster for potlucks and reunions, church suppers, and canning. It will roast a turkey fit for a Norman Rockwell thanksgiving dinner. I think it would probably hold four calling birds, three French hens, two turtle doves, and a partridge in a pear tree (well maybe not the tree) --- or a big pot of chicken and noodles - in Nebraska, chicken and noodles is served atop mashed potatoes - carbs? You bet - yet oh soooo good! But alas, I am now a vegetarian, so this wonderful gigantic roaster just does me no good. I can't find enough non-meat eaters in this Beef State to justify roasting 60 pounds of tofu. This could become a coveted heirloom in your family - so to keep it shiny and bright the green way: fill it to the brim with 4 gallons of water and 1 cup of fresh-squeezed or bottled lemon juice, then simmer until clean. Rub the outside with a paste made of baking soda and water, rinse, and dry immediately. A commanding presence, this silvery, sleek and smooth WAGNER WARE SIDNEY - O - Magnalite 4269 has Art Deco styling, and will be the Alpha pan in your kitchen!
