ANTIQUE CIRCA 1935 WAHL EVERSHARP DORIC GOLD SEAL KASHMIR PERSONAL POINT FOUNTAIN PEN ~ GREEN MARBLED CASE ~ ~ LEVER FILLER ~ ~ GOLD NIB ~ ~ WONDERFUL CONDITION ~ ~ NO RESERVE ~ Welcome to the month of December, and the holiday season. Being offered for your consideration, with NO RESERVE , is this wonderful Antique Circa 1935 Wahl Eversharp Personal Point Gold Seal Fountain Pen with a Kashmir Green Marbled Hard Plastic Case and Lever Filler. The Wahl Adding Machine Company was established in 1905; by 1914 Wahl purchased a controlling interest in the Ever-Sharp Pencil Company after the invention of the all metal mechanical repel pencil by Tokuji Hayakawa. By 1929 Wahl-Eversharp had introduced their Personal Point line, a fountain pen advertised as being "a point for any hand". The Wahl Eversharp Doric line was introduced in 1931 and named after the Doric column ancient Greek architecture. The original colors within the Doric line were given names of exotic locations; this pen carries the Kashmir green marble coloration. The pocket clip and decorative bands are gold filled; the decorative band surrounding the base of the cap carries an open lattice design. The circular gold seal is mounted above the lattice band. This pen carries the gold flexible medium nib # 2 and a lever filler. This pen is in wonderful condition; the case is free of any cracks, dents, or scratches. I did notice areas of very slight wear to the edges of the pocket clip which can be seen in the photographs below. ~ PLEASE NOTE ~ that any white areas appearing in the photographs are the result of flash photography, and do not exist on the actual object. ~ SHIPPING COSTS ~ All auction items will be boxed and packaged appropriately with tissue paper, bubble wrap, and Styrofoam peanuts.
