This came with a Walker Turner Driver Line wood turning lathe. Exceptional, near new Excellent condition. T are only casting numbers on it, no name. I assume is is Walker Turner, buyer should decide. It fits on lathe bed ways that are 1-3/4" apart. The tip of the cutting bit is 4-1/2" above the top of w the bed would be. Tilt the toolholder down a tiny bit to be centered for a 8" swing lathe or tilt up a little or add a little to the tool holder rocker for a 10" swing lathe. T is less than a quarter of a turn of the crank backlash. If the dial is laid out in thousandths then it is about 18 thousandths. I am quite sure some of this can be adjusted out by fine tuning the adjustable dial and stop collar inside. This compound rest has not had much use at all and may not have had much less backlash when brand new. It has to be remembered that this was an accessory for a wood turning lathe and not used on a South Bend or Logan metal turning lathe. That being said, it is still a rugged, well designed and quality tool. Please let the pictures help with the description and condition and view my other auctions for a WALKER TURNER Wood Lathe and a Walker Turner counter shaft/jack shaft. 2 casting #'s I can see are L2-51 and L2-52. I combine shipping whenever possible. Check my feedback, satisfaction guaranteed.
