DESCRIPTION: We are happy to offer this circa 1941 silver bud vase by Wallace Silver. It is bottom weighted and measures just under 7". This vase has some issues but is still beautiful! CONDITION: It has several surface scratches. Please see the pictures. HALLMARK: Baroque Wallace 758 HISTORY: History of Wallace Silver; In 1815, Robert Wallace was born to a family of silversmiths from Scotland . During the late 18th century, the Wallace family relocated to the state of Connecticut , USA . Wallace Silversmiths has been a leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of exquisite sterling silver and fine stainless steel flatware, hollow-ware and gift-ware since 1835. The superior quality of Wallace craftsmanship has long been recognized by consumers as a preeminent name in the silver industry. By 1955, R. Wallace and Sons Mfg. Co. had acquired and merged with a number of smaller firms. Such producers as Tuttle Silver, Smith and Smith, and The Watson Co. were incorporated into Wallace's business. In 1956, R. Wallace and Sons Mfg. Co. relocated to the Watson Co.'s Wallingford , Massachusetts factory. Today, Wallace continues to produce sterling, stainless, and silver plate of exceptional quality.
