Grande Baroque, designed in 1941 by William Warren, embodies in silver the lavishness and romance that epitomized the 16th century. William Warren often spoke proudly of his design work for Wallace, especially when reflecting Grande Baroque, his crowning achievement.Warren added 20th century characteristics such as the acanthus leaf and the pillar to his famous Grande Baroque pattern. Warren was known to compare the creation of his Grande Baroque pattern to a many-layered symphony.
