This is the perfect example of fine Salesman Sample Furniture that they made to show on the road for orders. It looks to be Walnut or Oak and the top of the dresser is a painted Marble look, that I am sure they used to simulate a Marble top. All the handles are wood and also original to the piece. T are a few flaws in the wood like inside the drawers in the back are chewed or primitively sawed in the corners, maybe they made it that way, not sure. When the drawers are in you can not see that. The Marble look top has a little wood chip in the corner underneath. The mirror is in good condition as is the piece for its age. On one of the Drawers someone wrote a name of Irene Otterson Drisser Feb 6 1917. The Hi-Boy dresser is 23" high and is 14" wide. T is alot of Scalloping work on the bottom and upper Mirrored area that is exquisite for such a small dresser. The simulated Marble is green and gold, hard to see in the photos.
