Check out this impressive Victorian two door walnut bookcase. Incredibly, this bookcase breaks down into 15 separate pieces, which makes it ideal for transporting, going up stairs and other difficult maneuverings. It measures just under 9 feet tall and can also be lowered to 8'9" by simply removing the original casters. This bookcase still retains its fancy carved crest, which can also be removed and would allow it to stand under 8' tall. The bold cornice rests above 2 more layers of applied burled walnut trim with incised carvings. Each door has two large original panes of glass and its original working lock with key. Notice the fancy burled walnut trim between the doors and along the outside corners. Inside are 6 adjustable original shelves and one fixed. Below are 2 drawers having their original uniquely cast solid brass pulls and key escutcheons. The fronts of the drawers also have applied burled walnut and incised carvings. The bookcase rests on its original 2" tall casters. The bookcase retains its original finish, which is in excellent condition. This impressive bookcase will make a statement in any home or office.
