We are very pleased, to present, for your consideration, this beautiful quality Solid Walnut Victorian High Back Bed with Pierced Pineapple Gallery and Burl Accents (Circa: 1870). This gorgeous bed weighs approximately 115 pounds in total and measures 87" in total height from the floor to the center top of the crown on the headboard, 77 ½" in length/depth, and 56 ¾" in total width. The inside (mattress area) dimensions are 54" in width (with the exception of the four inside corners which measure 52 1/4" across.), and 74 1/4" in length. We believe that this bed will accomodate a full size mattress however we recommend that you measure your mattress to ensure proper fit as mattress sizes will vary 1-2 " per manufacturer. The headboard with crown weighs approximately 52 pounds and measures 87" in height, 3" in depth, and 56 ½" in width. The footboard alone weighs approximately 23 pounds and measures 31 ½" in height, 2 ½" in depth, and 56 ¾" in width. The bed-rails are 11" in height, 76 ¾" long and weigh about 13 pounds each. The crown alone measures 16 ¼" in height and weighs approximately 10 pounds. This Solid Walnut Victorian Bed has a beautiful rich patina that one would expect and details that are quite elegant! The center top of this wonderful Bed is graced with a beautifully scalloped circle crown with a center dimensionally carved rosette roundel. Matching dimensionally carved rosette roundels are found on the sides of this gorgeous crown. A pierced, incised, stylized pineapple gallery graces the area beneath the top portion of the crown. This pierced, incised, and stylized pineapple gallery accents the recessed and raised burl panel with a smaller incised gallery that sits directly beneath the center of the crown. This gorgeous crown sits above a lovely removable (sign of quality) arched burl panel that is further adorned with two additional raised eyebrow burl panels above the arch and with two vertical linear raised burl panels on each side. Two lovely incised, stylized fan posts with race-track moulding complete the headboard. The handsome footboard is graced with a central raised horizontal burl panel and incised swirl top posts with race-track moulding. Finally, elegant rails with soft ribbon scallop ends complete this fabulous bed. The patina of the rich walnut wood on this Bed is exceptionally lovely and the carvings and the burl panels are beyond elegant.
