Up for auction is a 1953 Walt Disney Productions, Donald Duck Beverages, 10 Ounce Soda Pop Bottle in excellent condition with all of its paint still intact. This particular Donald Duck bottle was manufactured by the Knox Bottle Company of Jackson, Mississippi in 1953 according to the "J" inside a "Keystone" mark and the date code of "A53" on the bottom of the bottle. T are other numbers stamped on the bottom of the bottle, but I do not know exactly what they decode too. It is interesting that this is a Knox Donald Duck, because 1953 was their last year in business. The company was founded in 1932 and the ending year was 1953. It is possible a "Buy Out" or Sale to another glass company was the case. This is a very clean Donald Duck Bottle. Everything is still readable and the paint is all good. I have given you viewing photos from all 4 sides and close-ups of 3 Donald heads as well. You can see the one painted Donald head is slightly better looking than the other one. I do not know what is causing the little brown speck in his hat and I will leave it up to the new owner to do what they will about it. T are also 4 embossed Donald Duck heads within a band going around the neck of the bottle. You can read just about everything on the bottle from the photos. T is some rather tiny lettering in blue under one of the painted heads and it reads: Cont. 10 Fl. Oz. Bottled Under the Authority of General Beverages, Inc. This bottle has no chips or cracks in it either and it is without any nicks or scratches that I can notice either. This bottle is pretty much a standard soda bottle size, 9 1/4 inches long and a base diameter of 2 1/4 inches. It also weighs 14.3 ounces. This bottle is 53 years old and I don't think you could ask for much better. Only if it was unopened and still had its bottle cap. This bottle will make for a great addition to any Disneyana or Bottle Collection. It would also make a great gift as well and still in time for Christmas. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING!
