Please . 1892 Lithograph of a scene from Walter Scott's Rob Roy Rob Roy parting Rashleigh and Francis Osbaldistone This is a 120 Year Old Full-Page Book Plate, NOT a modern reproduction High quality, 1892 lithographic print: “Rob Roy parting Rashleigh and Francis Osbaldistone” . Depicted is a scene from the Scott novel “Rob Roy”. The cousins Rashleigh and Osbaldistone are engaged in a duel when Rob Roy forcefully intercedes. It is engraved by John Le Conte after artist J.B. Macdonald. This is a bookplate from the 1st American Edition of Character Sketches of Romance, Fiction and the Drama by E. Cobham Brewer. 1892, NY, Selmar Hess. It is printed on heavy paper, blank on the reverse. The sheet size is 8.5” by 11.5” and the image is about 9” x 6”. The tissue guard that has covered this picture for the last 117 years will be included. The text below is printed on the thin tissue guard. It is NOT on the print itself.
