This auction is for a signed record by the famous classical pianist Vladimir Horowitz, it is also signed by his wife Wanda Horowitz Toscanini the daughter of the fomous composer Arturo Toscanini. The record is of The Horowitz Concerts 1977-1978 and include LISZT: Sonata in B Minor and FAURE: Impromptu No. 5, Op. 102/Nocture No. 13, Op. 199. It is a RCA Red Seal record. The signed cover is in pretty good shape but has some scuffs and marks on it. The record itself in in amazing shape and should play well. The signatures measure about 4 inches long and are in black sharpie. My grandmother got this record signed about 30 years ago in Los Angeles w Horowitz was visiting. About Horowitz - Vladimir Samoylovich Horowitz ( 1 October 1903 - 5 November 1989 ) was a Russian-American classical pianist .In his prime, he was considered one of the most distinguished pianistsof any age. His technique, use of tone color and the excitement of his playing were legendary. Though sometimes criticized for being overly mannered and showy, he has a huge and passionate following and is widely considered one of the greatest pianists of the twentieth century .
