WANG BINGRONG fine relief carved 19th century Chinese porcelain ginger jar. Bingrong is most noted for his relief carvings on porcelain, notably water lily and crane motifs. Rare great yellow base color and the embossed work is highly graphic with beautiful soft palette colors and much charm. All details are especially sharp and workmanship is incredible. The lid and jar are both embossed with relief detail. Remains of early paper label on base with the embossed mark of Bingrong. Condition is excellent. No chips, cracks or repairs. Only two small holes on the base and lid for lamp wiring. Height of ginger jar is approx. 9.5" and 5" at the base. Lamp measures at approx. 20" H. Has a wooden base that jar rests in. Lamp is operative.
