Warren Hulllow sometimes collaborated with Isabel Parks, his partner at the Hickory Grove Studios in Pennsylvania, however, this appears to be one of his VERY rare independent works. Six or so of his well known collaborative pieces are in museums from Maryland to California. His works are in the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and six pieces are owned by the Department of the Interior. He held traveling exhibitions in many locations across the United States including Massachusetts, Florida, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., New York (at the Everson Museum in November of 1970), California and othersBiographyHe was born in 1938 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, where he graduated from Scranton High School. He received a degree from Penn State in Mathematics in 1960. He taught mathematics and science in the Susquehanna and Maine-Endwell School districts. Although considered a talented modernist studio potter, Mr. Hullow was not a financial success in life and he died homeless. He died in March, 2006, and his last resting place is in Kirkwood, New York. read more
