Enrike Leekya Warrior Figural with Wolf Headdress Zuni Fetish This great figural fetish was carved by Zuni Native American carver Enrike Leekya, whose father is Freddie Leekya and whose grandfather was the well-known carver Leekya Dayuse. It is carved from fishrock, a creamy serpentine rock with gray and yellow inclusions. Carved in the solid style the Leekya's are known for, this hunting figural features a Native warrior wearing moccasins, a loincloth, a belt and a wolfskin. The head of the wolf covers the head of the warrior with the front paws draped over his shoulders. The warrior carries a knife made from pen shell in his right hand and a large tomahawk made from pen shell in his left hand. The soles of his moccasins are turquoise, and small bits of turquoise are inlaid into his loincloth, his belt, the hilt of his knife and the handle of his tomahawk. Starburst and diagonal slash designs are incised into the loincloth and belt. His eyes are also inlaid turquoise, as are the nose and the eyes of the wolfskin . This carving is a substantial piece, standing almost 5 inches tall and weighing more than 9 ounces. It would make a wonderful addition to any collection. It is signed, dated and comes with a certificate of authenticity.Dimensions: 4 1/2''H x 2 1/2''L x 2 1/2''W (11.4 x 6.4 x 6.4cm) Carefully packaged in a nice gift box
