I was fortunately able to purchase a couple of highly collectible WARWICK IOGA vases this weekend. This portrait vase is unusual in that it is a rich dark green instead of the popular tan and brown colors. The portrait is also unusual - it is a sepia color, almost monochromatic. A beautiful young lady in a gauzy gown -wavy hair taken back off her face, has a wistful, far away look in her eyes. This vase measures 10.5" and has been repaired on the back rim - I have shown close-ups of the areas. This does not impair the portrait at all. One repair has resulted in a fine crack traveling down the back, under the twig handle almost to the portrait - it completely disappears into the crazing. As you can see from the pictures, this piece displays very well, as only crazing is evident on the portrait - both twig handles are intact, colors are all great with just a few old pottery paint discrepancies on the surface, inside clean and unused. However, because of the minor imperfections, I am offering this fabulous vase with no reserve and a low minimum bid. The majority of my items are vintage pieces obtained from estates.
