This listing includes 3 vintage WASHBOARDS that came from an estate auction. They are in need of a good cleansing as they are dusty from storage. The text on the two larger boards read "Standard Family Size, Galvanized, No. 2090, Manufactured by Columbus Washboard Co., Columbus Ohio, SUNNYLAND" and "Good House Keepers Trade Mark Reg. The Board Does The Work, Self Cleansing, Front Drain, No Hard Scrubbing, Saves Soap and Energy, Glass, CUPPLES COMPANY, St. Louis MO., Another Cupples Quality Product." The larger boards measure about 12" X 24". One has a glass insert and one has a metal one. The Cupples board has some damage to the wood(see pictures). The smaller washboard measures about 8 3/4" X 18" and has text that reads "Ideal for Silks, Hosiery, and Lingerie, or Hankerchiefs, Just the right size to fit a bucket, pail or lavatory, Packs easily into suit case or traveling bag, Columbus Washboard Company, Columbus Ohio., Scanty Handi, Solid Zinc." The text on the small board is very faded, but I can make out the words from the imprints. Three neat old WASHBOARDS to add to your collection or use as decor in a primitively themed kitchen or laundry room!
