Washington/Franklin Indentification Kit (13 Total Pieces), throughout the past 15 years I've greatly enjoyed the hobby & investment of stamp collecting, one of the most challanging aspects of the philatelic field is dealing with and properly identifying W/F's, proper identification can mean a difference of thousands of dollars, about 10 years ago I purchased a collection that included over 300 W/F's, it took a long time but I finally worked through them, I discovered a stamp I believed to be misidentified, sent it off for PFC cerfification, it turned out to be the stamp I thought it was a #362, it was also certified OG, NH and was virtually pefectly centered, to cut this story down to size I paid approximately .05c for the stamp and sold it for nearly $4,000.00 . . . PROPER IDENTIFICATION IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT . . . I'm leaving the hobby and am selling the same tools I used for identification throughout the years, I will list them as best I can . . the bottle of Harco Watermark Fluid, the bottle with brush of Stamp Lift Fluid & the Stamp Tongs are all new and never used . . the other 10 items are used but still in perfect condition, they are as follows . . 3 books: "The Experts Book", this book deals only with W/F's from 1908 to 1923, virtually all issues are covered, 209 Pages . . "The Micarrelli Identification Guide to U.S. Stamps, Regular Issues 1847-1934", this book deals with a number of other stamps starting with #1 but has been my favorite publication in identifying W/F's, 163 Pages . . "United States Postage Stamps 1902-1935", this is an extremely detailed (almost too much information, almost like an encyclopedia) resource book that also covers other stamps but all W/F's are included, 565 Pages . . sorry about not being able to show all of the books covers but what you see is as large a scan as eBay would take . . THE TRUE JEWEL OF THE WHOLE THING: "The Easy Way U.S. Stamp Identifier", this little slide rule type identifier covers every W/F that has more than a single identity (perforations, watermarks, color, printings), these jewels are no longer available on the open market but I found it the most indespensable item I've ever owned in identifying W/F's, if I wasn't leaving the hobby permanantly I'd never let go of it . . "Linn's Multi-Gauge": this is simply (in my opinion) the best perforation/mm measuring gauge ever marketed . . "Meghrig & Sons Wonder Color Gauge: contains 5 cards covering over 110 different shades . . In addition there are two other types of perforation/mm measuring gauges (different ones work better with different colored stamps), a hand held ultraviolet lamp & a watermark dipping tray, if you have any questions concerning this offering please feel free to contact me, Approximate Retail Value: $150.00 to $175.00 (it's been worth 10 times that to me), low opening bid. NOTE: Sorry about the higher shipping cost on this one but these things add up to a pretty heavy bundle.
