I had this button appraised by a respected coin dealer he gave me the following information- listed in the Cobb collection as W1 12d 1789 3d eagle star 72 impression RR 8 known as of 2005 value 3,000+. This is a dug button condition is good with slight denting and scratches. Please use the photos to decide type and grade for yourself. I can assure you this button is authentic as I recovered this button from A Quaker village in Otsego county New York, [ with the owners perrmission ],. This village has been farm fields for almost one hundred and fifty years, this site saw action during the revolutionary war. The village was abandon in the mid-ninteenth century.
