Watchful Cat Watercolour Painting by Jean Ann Willis (? - 2010) A highly accomplished watercolour painting by Jean Ann Willis. The painting depicts a cat on a tree looking at a bird. The painting has bold use of colours, superb composition and confident strokes. This painting is in very fine condition free of any significant imperfections. The painting is mounted behind glass and is presented in a silver frame. The painting is signed lower right. A fine painting that would grace any home or collection. This painting is one of four works we have for sale by Willis from a portfolio of the artists work. The other works are also for sale on this site. Jean Ann Willis was an accomplished Lancashire born artist who is best known for her still lifes and landscapes in oils, watercolours and pastels. Willis moved to South Normanton in Derbyshire to concentrate on her landscape scenes, which she believed, were some of the most picturesque views she had ever seen. Willis painted in a variety of styles and techniques from impressionist to highly detailed watercolours. She was influenced by some of the great early 20th century English impressionist painters. Willis died in June 2010 with her work becoming more and more collectable and a good investment for the future.
