It measures approximately 9 3/4" by 14 3/4", and is printed on smooth glossy-type cardstock. It features a great image of Laurie preparing, with the quote above her " 'She blames me for her career, but what else would she have been? A housewife?' - SALLY JUPITER discussing her daughter Laurie, PROBE interview, 1976". The familiar sideways Watchmen title logo is on the left side, and at the bottom is stated "A 12 Issue Deluxe Series By Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons". The Watchmen maxi-series, along with Batman The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller, forever changed the comic book and graphic novel storytelling mediums. The Watchmen introduced such great characters as Dr. Manhattan, Rorschach, The Comedian, Silk Spectre, Nite Owl, and Ozymandias, and brought a depth and realism to comics that it had arguably never seen before. It is one of Moore's finest works, ranking up there with Batman The Killing Joke, Miracleman, V For Vendetta, From Hell, the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and Saga of the Swamp Thing.
