Angelophone Hymnbook This is a gorgeous original copy of the special publication from 1916 entitled ANGELOPHONE HYMNS . It is a collection of 50 classic hymns, entitled "Old Fireside Tunes," complete with words and music for the keyboard. For some reason the pages are numbered 49 - 98. I've never found anyone who knows why! It was printed as an accompaniment for the Angelophone records recorded by famous Baritone HENRY BURR . Each hymn is also accompanied by the transcript of a short sermon or message that was recorded by Pastor Charles Taze Russell shortly before he died in October, 1916, and included on the flip side of the records. This particular little book has a soft vinyl binding (stapled) and the pages themselves are in excellent condition--very readable. There are a few pages with small creases caused in binding no doubt. It feels as though it has never before been opened -- a brand new publication nearly 100 years old. The cover is printed in gold with the Angelophone figure of their trademark Angel blowing a trumpet. The vinyl cover itself is a rich burgundy. The gold printing of the angel have a couple of spots that are lighter gold than the rest.
