This item is a Waterbury brass Carriage clock with repeater button. It is not running. It does strike the half hour and hour when you move the hands. I did use the key and wound it but it won't run. Balance wheel moves but it won't stay running. The repeater button works and it dings the hour. All beveled glass (front, sides and top) is original and NOT chipped or cracked except for the side panel on the right - at bottom right corner it has an inclusion inside the glass (not on outside as a chip would be) about 3/16" long. Really minute. On the inside bottom of movement it says Patented and then Jan 29 01, Apr ll 05, June 4 07. There are no jeweler's marks anywhere to indicate it ever was worked on. On the front dial it says Jeweled Movement. The dial is in good shape with no cracks to porcelain and stains etc. The key appears to be original is marked Waterbury Clock Company. The clock measures 4-3/8" high, 3-l/8" wide, and 2-5/8" deep. Any questions about it, please feel free to email me. I personally think it just needs cleaned and oiled but you have to be the judge.
