First Time on Ebay 8/29/15 It's a nice piece, small for Zornes, but not small for a watercolor. If you would like to negotiate and discuss the painting in private send a question along with your personal email listed as well. Ebay allows private communication but stifles it as they worry about their 10% commission.This is a good watercolor by Milford Zornes. It is not one of his large masterpieces. I just sold one of those for $3400 and it is worth every bit of that. That was the painting of the Mexican coastal town. The image here is about 14"x11" not tiny, especially for a watercolor as they tend to be much smaller than oils or acrylics. Pastels and tempera tend to be smallish as well. It is a well done, detailed landscape/seascape coastal view of Laguna, as labeled, signed and dated 1970, certainly during his peak. Zornes(1908-2008) reached 100 years and his art is collected in 9 decades. He is one of the most honored, and influential watercolor artists in American history, one of the greats from California which includes George Gibson, Phil Dike, Phil Paradis, Millard Sheets, Jade Fon, Dong Kingman and dozens of other greats.
