Rare watercolour by Admiral Sir John Corbett KCB (1822-1893) - Seaford Head. The painting comes with the original album page with title date and initials of the artist.Corbett was a Royal Navy officer who went on to be Commander-in-Chief, East India Station. He painted watercolours of his travels and Christies has auctioned three collections of watercolours for between £1,400 and £1,800 (google for details).The watercolour is presented in excellent condition for its age and measures 10 inches by 7 inches (comes unframed).
