Each glass has been made in the classic Waterford Crystal Tradition - mouth blown and hand cut by a master craftsman at the Water4ford Cyrstal factory in Waterford, Ireland. This is the complete rare set of Waterford First Light flutes in the original collectors chest. It is brand new and has never been sold or used. It comes with the chest with numbered plaque, 6 flutes, and numbered certificate of authenticity.

The chest contains six stunning (6) Waterford champagne flutes of the First Light collection. These limited edition flutes were commissioned for private Waterford collectors at the new millennium. This design is unique amongst all Waterford crystal.

Designed by First Light Editions along with Waterford's reknown Director of Design, Jim O'Leary. The flutes were made in Ireland and showcase Waterford's highest quality. Each stands 24 cm (9.4 inches) tall and shows a rising sun over a heavily cut crystal horizon. It depicts the "first light" as seen at the dawn of the new millennium.

The flute has Waterford's famous tapered stem and classic sixteen point star base. The glasses are rimmed in 18 ct. gold and are clearly the most beautiful of any Waterford flutes.

The set comes collector's gift chest made from Kauri wood, the world's oldest marketable timber. Far older than Egyptian pyramids, this wood is carbon dated at 45,000 years old and is harvested in New Zealand.

Each box is lined in fine European velvet. The chest has a classic brass inlay border strip around each side and a elegant locket & key.

You will receive the flutes wrapped in the original tissue from Waterford's Ireland factory. Never opened, you can enjoy the "first light" of your next important event with these memorable and rare flutes.
