DISNEYANA CONVENTION 1994 "CINDERELLA'S SLIPPER" BY WATERFORD CRYSTAL Up for auction is very rare to find Waterford crystal figurine of Disney's Cinderella's Slipper which was introduced in 1994 exclusively for Disneyana Convention. To my best knowledge and according to collectors information books this was the first piece to be introduced in crystal by waterford in 1994 for Disneyana Convention. Later on Waterford made more pieces in different series for Disneyana. This was NUMBERED LIMITED EDITION of only 1200 pieces Worldwide and only those collectors could buy it who attended the Disneyana convention that year. This makes it even more special and rare. The limited edition number for sale is 256/1200 which is a very very low number to have . Only those collectors who attended the convention could get this piece. It is Etch SIGNED by the artist who designed it. And one other unique thing about this collectors figurine is that it comes with two certificates of authenticity as shown in the pictures. One certificate was issued from Waterfod and the 2nd one was from Disneyana. It is very rare that a collectible figurine comes with 2 certificate of authenticities . This was very special piece that was made first time for Disneyana Convention only by Waterford so it came with two certificates. Made in Ireland, about 7"long x 3.5"h this crystal slipper was made in Ireland and comes in excellent mint condition in original box and packing with all the papers. Never displayed out, no cracks or chips of any kind. selling for $600 - $800 in stores. Waterford Crystal is a trademark brand of crystal glassware , Waterford produces many patterns of lead crystal stemware, including lines such as Adare, Alana, Colleen, Kincora, Lismore, Maeve, Tramore, and many others. Waterford's chandeliers hang in well-known buildings like Windsor Castle , Westminster Abbey , and the Kennedy Center , and they have made the 2,668 crystals for the famous New Year's Eve Ball that is dropped each year in New York City 's Times Square . The ball is a 11,875 pound geodesic orb, 12 foot in diameter and is lit by 32,256 Philips Luxeon Rebel LEDS.
