Good example of a 1796 pattern British cavalry officerâe(tm)s sabre with JJ Runkel Solingen blade. Clearly for field, rather than processional use token of its fine, taught leather grip. The perfect regulation 32 inch blade has remnants of its etching still clearly visible and is firm in the hilt. The hilt has some very small dents to the front of the quillon section, perhaps a sign of use, but is correct in shape and generally in good condition. The leather grip is in good order and the ring bindings present and tight. I try to ship the next day.
