A French made Waterman 200 Rhapsody fountain pen. Finished in Mineral red which is an attractive red/black marble swirl. With gold plated clip, double cap bands, double barrel end rings and section rings. Long out of production, the 200 and 100 models were the top end of the Waterman range. This pen is fitted with an 18ct bicolour nib and is fitted with an ink converter but could be used with cartridges ( a pack of 8 Waterman Florida Blue cartridges is supplied with the pen). There is no box. The nib is probably the star feature of this pen and is the best modern Waterman nib I have encountered. It is labelled as an L grade and writes with a medium/broad line but has a considerable amount of flex allowing for expressive writing. This is a lovely pen in excellent condition with no cracks or engravings. The plating is all excellent and there is no corrosion around the section ring as is common with these pens. The condition reflects that is has been in my collection for over 12 years and unused until I made the photo of the writing sample. This pen will give a lot of writing pleasure.
