Watermelon Tourmaline Himilaya Mine, Mesa Grande, CA. An exceptional twin crystal with much gem within, the secondary growthand smaller crystal displayed on the face of the main crystal is flawless pink and so light that the green showns through it and tops this one off. I have had this on display in my showcase until recently. The dimensions are: 20 x 19 x 15mm and the specimen weighs an even 49 carats. If you sliced this one you should get five or six good ones. The interesting thing about this specimen is the fact that it is a say, reverse watermelon crystal in that, it displays a pink rind -vs- the typical green and has hues of pink-orange-yellow-green center. Cool. It is a display piece at this time but is also decent rough for you cutters out t The price of this crystal will increase if no bids are received within 24 hours of the close of this auction.
