A nice LARGE 8 1/2" tall rectangular-shaped light TURQUOISE - AQUA color Quack Patent Medicine antique bottle. It is EMBOSSED with a full sized LABEL, label indicates an extremely high ALCOHOL content and narcotic OPIUM ingredient. This is a n early hand Blown Into Mold bottle (BIM) with a tooled top, dating it back to the 1800's, well over ONE CENTURY OLD, a good 100 years old + PLUS .Bottle embossed : " WATKINS / TRIAL MARK ".Condition : Bottle is in CLEAN condition. Overall bottle is is in great condition , NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc. Label in good condition, LEGIBLE (See photos for overall condition).Age : A hand-blown bottle (Blown-In-Mold = BIM) with a tooled-top, ca. late 1800's.T his product was referred to as 'VEGETABLE ANODYNE' liniment and was to be consumed internally by humans, it was also to be applied externally in liberal amounts to HORSES CATTLE HOGS SHEEP and such. External or Internal means that if drinking the concoction didn't help, you could pour it on the afflicted area. What also is nice about this bottle is that the label has a picture, a partial-bust portrait of old J. R. Watkins. A RARE old bottle, especially since it is an early hand Blown Into Mold bottle, and a finite bottle as well.
