The condition is used but in very nice condition. T are no dents, no noticeable dings, no splits, no breaks, and no repairs. I am selling this set for a friend and do know that it's been in its box for quite some time. However t does not appear to be any significant tarnish. Nothing that a quick polish won't fix. This set comes with the chest as seen in the photographs. The box is a felt lined wooden box. The box has surface wear seems to be effective in protecting the set against tarnishing. This box is free, and is not considered to be part of the value of this auction. If you do not want the box let us know and we can reduce shipping fees accordingly. Shipping with the box is probably overestimated at 23 pounds. You are welcome to wait until it's packed to pay the correct shipping & handling of $2.50. The second two pictures were copied from the internet because my camera simply woudn't pick up the detail. I felt they would be useful to show the pattern and stamps. Yes, perhaps it was operator error.
