Vintage Wavecrest Dresser Trinket Box Mint Condition Up for bid is a fantastic vintage Wavecrest dresser box from the Nakara line. This is a good size box,4.5" in diameter and 2.75" tall. It is in all around excellent condition, no chips, cracks or repairs. Original silk lining inside base and lid is in very good condition.(See Photos). This is a great piece in great shape and I am sure it would fit well into any collection. Nakara was produced for a short time and in limited quantity that is is more scarce than the Wave Crest line. Opal Ware glass was at the height of its popularity from 1890 to 1910 and much of the opal glass known as Wave Crest was produced at Mt. Washington and purchased by the Monroe Co. as undecorated glass blanks to be decorated by the artists employed t This box is a soft blue and is decorated with womans portrait. T are three pink flowers around the portrait. The flowers have white highlights. The top and base are fitted with an gilt and embossed decorated brass band and the hinge is in perfect working order. The box has its original silk interior in very good condition. This is simply a beautiful example of this hard-to-find glass in the best condition of any like piece I have ever seen in 40 years in the antique business!
