I believe this is a very old Wayang Golek rod puppet doll. I don't much about the history of this puppet. My father-in-law bought this at an estate sale about 15 years ago and knew the previous owner. She had it for about 15 years and purchased it at a flea market in the condition it is today. It has been put away in a closet so smells somewhat of moth balls. With this puppet she also had a horse puppet which has some elaborate painting on it and is also listed. I am selling this puppet as is. The shirt has yellowed and has a spot of stain on the neck. It has been hand sewn and is missing two of the buttons. The skirt is a purple plaid and is faded with a few tattered spots. The condition of the head, arms and hands are quiet good. It is a very interesting doll.
