MAGNIFICENT Official "Superman" FULL COLOR portrait by his definitive artist, the great Wayne Boring dated 1948. THIS little gem was part of the package kids received when they joined "The Supermen of America". The portrait is on card stock and has a simulated wood frame printed right on the paper. It measures 7 1/2" x 5 1/2". The printed inscription reads: "Best Wishes from your friend Superman". The color are very rich and vibrant with only the very slightest hint of tanning on the white verso which contains ads for Superman #100, World's Finest #33, and Action #115. Note: The scan looks FAR more yellow than the piece is in reality. I ain't calling this mint but I will say its darned close to it . As the original owner I can personally testify that its been in an envelope since I received it in the mail from DC Comics! Under the portrait it reads COPR. 1948 NAT'L COMICS, INC.A wonderful vintage DC Superman collectible in fantastic shape and if you need it to complete your "Supermen of America" kit, it is, come get it! Clarification in response to a question: This auction is for the photo only. No accompanying envelope or other "Supermen of America" items.
