I have for auction a 10-GALLON VISIBLE GASOLINE PUMP & 24" RED CROWN GASOLINE OIL DRUM TOP . The GASOLINE PUMP is Manufactured by Wayne Company Boyle Dayton Division Model No 83.B Serial No. 7820 Los Angeles. This gas pump is in unrestored condition. The gasoline pump does have its brass ID Label; it says Manufactured by Wayne Company Boyle Dayton Division Model No 83.b Serial No 7820 Los Angeles. The10-Gallon Gas Pump measures approx. 8'2" tall without the White Crown Glass Globe attached. The White Crown glass Globe measures approx 14" tall. A little history about Boyle Dayton, Los Angeles, California - Boyle Dayton started around 1910 producing various previsible pumps and later visible pumps. The company expanded quickly throughout the West and later had offices in San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, San Diego, and Phoenix. Its factory and main office were however based in Los Angeles. Production continued under the Boyle Dayton name until 1928 when the company was purchased by the Wayne Pump Company. Cut 83 visible 10-gallon Called "The Vizo" Round -sided pump, 8ft plus, round base and cap. End of History This pump has a Brass Lock - pictured - that has raised lettering B D; the lock does not have a key. The GLASS CYLINDER is in very good condition; I BELIEVE IT TO BE THE ORIGINAL GLASS. The door-by hand brass nozzle has a welded repair across the door; the door lock has no key; You can open and close the door with the pump skin removed. The PRICE BOX-GASOLINE TAXES TOTAL- is attached to a vertical rod; the PRICE BOX-GASOLINE TAXES TOTAL is marked "PROPERTY OF RIO GRANDE OIL INC". ALSO INCLUDED; 1996 I purchased from VIC'S PLACE a 1"x10' WHITE CLOTH HOSE; BRASS NOZZLE; GLOBE RING AND GLASS WHITE CROWN GLOBE; these items are pictured on the pump. The condition of the GASOLINE PUMP IS UNRESTORED. Please look at the pictures uploaded. The 24" RED CROWN OIL DRUM TOP has been repainted - A nice folk art piece - When I bought the piece is was described as "RED CROWN 24" OIL DRUM TOP, THIS WAS AN ORIGINAL OIL DRUM TOP THAT HAD RED CROWN PAINTED ON IT, BECAUSE IT WAS VEY FADED & HARDLY READABLE, IT WAS REPAINTED AS ORIGINAL, SEE PIC" - The piece is a nice display item with the gas pump. I will also include the 48 STAR FLAG that you see in the pictures -it is a 48 star flag with some damage-nice display item.
