From the Walt Disney Classics Collection (WDCC), The Bella Notte Spaghetti Scene consists of Lady, Tramp, Tony and Joe in a limited edition of 5,000 pieces worldwide (numbered limited edition). I will include theWDCC issued base for the set which was a separate purchase and hard to find on the secondary market.
The base for this set to my knowledge was not issued with a certificate of authenticity. Original retail was $795 for the Bella Notte set and $75 for the base. I was an authorized Walt Disney Classics collection retailer in Minnesota from 1999-2008 (Diane's Dolls, Embarrass, MN) carrying upscale gifts and collectibles. Our shop was allocated only one of these sought after sets, and I purchased it to display at a later time for my private collection. These pieces have been removed from the box to photograph and to inspect, however, have not been displayed. Due to the downturn in the economy, I will be selling some of my prized pieces that had been intended to be displayed in my home. As an authorized retailer, I saw most of the pieces that were released in the Walt Disney Classics Collection and since the inception of the line by visiting trade shows as a collector and later as a retailer. Please believe me when I say this is a SPECTACULAR piece and would make a SHOWPIECE in your private collection. I was very selective in pieces which I purchased to eventually place in my private collection. The set you will receive is set numbered "528/5000". Please note, the white roll showing under Lady's spaghetti in the photograph is "original packaging" material which should be removed when displayed. This set came packaged this way to prevent the delicate spaghetti noodle from breaking in shipment. This set is in new condition free of any manufacturer's flaws, chips or defects and comes complete with original box and certificate of authenticity for the figurine set. The base is also free of any manufacturer's flaws, chips or defects and comes with the original box. Additional information regarding the WDCC porcelain figurine set (tallest figurine is approximately 7 1/4"): Plussing: License: Made of gold-plated metal with a brass wire hook. Spaghetti: Brass wire. Mandolin: Metal strings. Barrel & Accordian Trim: Painted with silver metallic paint. Joe's Shirt Buttons: Painted with gold metallic paint Base: Resin Size: 5" Tall x 9" Wide x 12.5" Long Please note - this is a wonderful value in that both the Bella Notte set and Base will ship insured UPS (United States only) for free.
