WDCC Dreamfinder and Figment Imaginary Friends Epcot Ltd Ed #4006326 from 2006 event New, in original condition , stored in original green WDCC box with Certificate of Authenticity from Disney, never displayed. This is the second Figment statue issued by Disney Classics for an event at Disney World in 2006 and the only one that has ever included the Dreamfinder character. This statue was exclusive to Disney World and is no longer available after the limited edition sold out. It was first offered to registered participants of an Epcot “Imagine the Possibilities – A Friendly Figment Reunion” event in 2006. Disney Classics issued several different Figment statues in various costumes from the ride each year since 2005 but this one includes the Dreamfinder character which was in the original ride. The lovable dragon and Dreamfinder are part of the Journey into Imagination ride, one of the original pavilions at Epcot, hosted by the Dreamfinder and his small purple dragon-like pal. The ride attempts to portray the creative imaginative process. Figment has a loyal fan following. Other than pins and souvenir products, it is rare to find high-end statues of these characters, especially the Dreamfinder. WDCC #4006326 Height: 8 3/8” Sculpted by Bruce Lau Limited Edition porcelain of 1,000 statues, but due to an error, this is not written on the statue bottom or Certificate, it was only written on the Disney World web site. SOLD OUT Markings on bottom: WDCC and Art of Walt Disney World (castle picture) Second release in the WDCC Figment Disney Theme Parks and Resorts Exclusive Series Original retail price from Disney: $199, but had to pay $260 to register for the event which included this statue and a pin. Includes Disney Classics Certificate of Authenticity which says: Walt Disney Classics Collection Certificate of Authenticity Imaginary Friends Dreamfinder and Figment The green statue box will ship protected inside a sturdy outside cardboard box with packing material to protect it. The outside cardboard box measures about 13” x 10” x 8” and weighs about 2 pounds. Characters: Dreamfinder and Figment Title: Imaginary Friends Size: 8-3/8" Item Number: 4006326 Sculptor: Bruce Lau Plussing: Figment's Wings & Horns: Pewter. Dreamfinder's Glasses: Brass wire frames and acrylic lenses.Production Changes: None. Particulars: Limited Edition: 1,000 pieces. The pieces will not be numbered, production and availability is limited however to only 1,000 sculptures. The sculpture is marked consistently with last year's Figment: Spark of Imagination piece. There is no marking on the certificate of authenticity nor on the backstamp which calls out the limited edition size. Figment is meant to be the literal embodiment of the phrase figment of the imagination. He is composed of various elements Dreamfinder found in his travels including two tiny wings, large yellow eyes, the horns of a steer, a crocodile's snout, and the childish delight found at a birthday party. Figment is described in detail in the Dreamfinder's song "One Little Spark" by the Sherman Brothers.
